1959 Fender Vibrolux 5F11
1959 Fender Vibrolux 5F11
Here's a great sounding recently restored '59 Vibrolux. We love the sound of this amp. Kind of a sweeter sounding Deluxe with tremolo. Pair it with a Princeton Reverb type and...good stuff baby.

- 2-Vintage 12AX7s (1 Hammond Branded and 1 ?)
- Visible Pot Codes 2-137901, 2-137916 = Early 1959
- Power Transformer #66079
- Output Transformer #108
- Speaker Eminence GA-SC59 10" Alnico
When we acquired it there was a poorly made old 12" baffle installed and had a really bad old tolex job over the original glue...quite a mess and removing that gunk takes some time and "elbow grease" let me tell ya. Also there was a RCA speaker out added long ago. (see before pics)
The cabinet is original and was expertly restored by Will at Armadillo Amp Works with a new vintage correct baffle, re-covered with a single thin coat of lacquer, grill cloth, a proper leather handle and new hardware. The original cabinet screws and handle hardware etc were painted and can be included if you like.
The amp has the "most important" original components including most of the Astron caps. It was recently gone through by amp expert Greg Germino. Replaced circuit components can be included if you like as well. (see notes below and pics)
The Triad 108 output transformer looks to have been reinstalled or perhaps replaced long ago. There were spliced connections at the OT so they were properly cleaned, reconnected secured, and tested during the amp restoration. At some point some holes and bolts were added to the mounting bracket at the corners. Why is a bit of a mystery. (See before pics)
The Eminence GA-SC59 is a perfect choice for this little 10 watt gem. Comes with a repro foot switch. Some of the control labels are worn off, but there's only 4 knobs and it's easy to remember right? haha
