Number 26 of the first 50 extremely accurate replicas made by Tom Murphy and his lab of the iconic “Greeny” guitar. The neck feels incredible. Even with all wear, it is smooth and feels natural and is very comfortable. It has the Brazilian fretboard, a great weight, and most of all it sounds amazing.
Is it expensive for a new guitar? Of course it is. However, anyone who is able to be interested in these Collector’s Choice builds knows that these sold for well above retail pretty quickly. Having said that, it is one the most remarkable builds that Tom Murphy and his team have accomplished to date. It really is amazing work they are doing at Murphy Lab.
This is one, #26, has a gorgeous top. There is some flame but not too much in our opinion. Everyone who has played it here is completely blown away by the neck profile and swears it is PERFECT. Number 26 is a one-owner all original guitar that comes with everything that Gibson sent with it including the packaging.
